My Experience....... Bank Of Baroda (GD/ Interview) for Probationary Officer.

             My name is RAJAN KUMAR i am sharing my personal experience of Gd/interview of Bank of Baroda Manipal School for Banking for the post of  Probationary Officer  which took place on 2nd August 2012 at 9 O'clock in the morning at its Eastern Region Office, Salt Lake, Sector V, Kolkata, West Bengal.    

 

             It was 28th July 2012 in morning when i received a SMS that Bank Of Baroda Po result is out, i was in bus that time and going to office after an hour i reached my office and immediately open my computer my heart beat was increasing rapidly, i put my registration number in appropriate column along with my date of birth and the result was in front of my eye's i was shock with the  number which i got then suddenly i saw a link written "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR CALL LETTER FOR GD/INTERVIEW" as i clicked  on that i saw that i was selected for Gd/interview, i was in air yes i did it..........

           The Gd/Interview was on 2nd August, i started my preparation the first think which i done is i gonethrough Bank of Baroda site and read its history  every think about it, i was confident, than i consulted my senior (Mr. Debjit Sur Roy Chowdhury CA, CWA, MBA form IIM Kolkata)  he gave me many trick about the Gd/interview, how to face it, how to answer the question's, what to say when to say etc. his trick helped me a lot, i was waiting for the 2nd August desperately...........

              OMG!!!!!!!!!! it is 1st August today tomorrow is my Gd/interview i was very nervous i was not able to eat and sleep on that night i was so frustrating tension's nervous night, i got up at 6 O'Clock fresh  up and at the same time 2nd August was Rakhi Burnima, my sis tied Rakhi in my hand and after having some sweet and Dahi i left my house to reach the ultimate goal of my life.

               I took taxi from my house i.e Bally to reach the Sector V it was about 7 AM i reach by 8 O'clock and the taxi meter stopped at Rs. 300/- know it was a time to search the BOB office so i asked a local Panwala he answer very politely and pointing his finger he saw me some building and said office should be in that direction, i stared to walk towards my goal............

             I reach there and before i speak something the watchman spokes and said "INTERVIEW" i said yes, then he saw me a place and said wait there, when i reached i saw two female contestant  reading newspaper and books, after some time i came out and went to the main road there was two contestant having gossip then i introduce myself to them and we shake hand and stared gossiping the recent topics, while the discussion was going on i asked them to come to the building as it was near about 8:30, by reaching there we saw around 30 contestant have already arrived, after few minutes the watchman took as to 7th floor were we all seated...... the heart beat was at its peak......

                In that room we all seated and in front we can see four empty seated in the desk was very nicely organised by a bottle of water with a glass with  a microphone enabled. Suddenly  a Female came with an executive file, in that file there was many paper consisting of our attendance list and two form which we were given to full fill and arrange  it with our call letter and all our document, after some time two more people came and they started calling our names for verification of our document, Later one South Indian gentleman man and he separated as on a group of 10, as the name was arranged in attendance list, i was in second batch, when our chance came  all of us was nervous me to... but on the same time i was  very confident too.. we all 10 enter there we saw 4 people seating in front of us, we sat and among 4 one people spoke he said " we will give a topics and for the first 2 min you will write down the point which you wish to say and after 2 min you will start the GD and at the end one among you will conclude the gd" we all agree and he speakup the topics which was "FINANCIAL INCLUSION IS A POLITICAL CORRUPT CONCEPT, BUT REALITY IS DIFFERENT",  i stared by saying "AM RAJAN FROM HOWRAH AND LET ME START THE BOWL ROLLING THE TOPICS FOR TODAY'S DISCUSSION IS FINANCIAL INCLUSION IS A POLITICAL CORRUPT CONCEPT, BUT REALITY IS DIFFERENT AND I AGREE TO IT......."  and i started my point.... i was crossed by one and then the discussion stated n a good way all of us participated in that GD except three people who did not spoke a single words, after the time came to its end i was able to put my all the point along with several crossed objection at the end part of the GD  the fear factor was gone, an overall i finished with a good remarking note.

               Its a time for personal interview i was sitting near the room where and waiting for my call but before i called i went to washroom and fresh up myself i comb my hair wash my face make my dress look arranged, then i enter in interview room its a big... a big meeting table, four people were siting another side and i was asked to sit in-front of them on the other side of the table, i made myself comfortable on the chair and they said shall we start the interview? i  answered Yes (full of confident) the very first question say some thing about your family and yourself ? i answered the question very confidently then the second  question was about my LLb third question where are you from? i replied Howrah. fourth question can u speak bengali if yes then speak some think? i started speaking in bengali about my current job which is in State Govt. financial companies then fifth question they said can u sing a song? i said yes, one among them asked me to sing a bengali song "AAKLA CHALO RA" its a RABINDRA SANGIT but one member said we cant understand the bengali so sing a hindi song they asked to sing a song of a super star who died recently, i started sing "ZINDAGE EK SAFAR HAI SUHANA YAH KAL KAY HOGA KISNA JAANA" the song is picturised by RAJESH KHANA, then sixty question came what is the name of his BUNGLO? i replied "i know the answer of this question recently his bunglo is in process to declare as a museum" they said yes, but unfortunately i forget the name of his bunglo and i could not answer this question then one gentleman said its ASHIRBAD  i said yes sir it is ashirbad, then they said ok thanks i thankx them and i came out of the room.

I hope i will be selected finger crossed for the result.... heart beat is blowing very fast...wish me luck frndzzz i need it............
